Oslo: The wakeup call for European political leadership! [25.07.2011]
ENAR – the European Network Against Racism – expresses its utter condemnation of the bombing and mass murder that took place in Oslo and surroundings last Friday, resulting in the violent death of more than 90 innocent civilians. ENAR conveys its most sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of all the victims of those hateful acts and ensures them of its moral support in these difficult
moments of pain, loss, fear and incomprehension.

NO to Neonazi march in Brno ! [28.04.2011]
In the context of the planned demonstration of Neonazi groups in Brno as of 1st May 2011, SIMI/AIM supports the call of the European Network Against Racism and (ENAR) and the ENAR Czech Republic on the on the municipality of Brn and the Czech government to take a strong stand against right-wing extremism and blatant incitement to hatred.
This year, the neonazi Worker´s Party chose intentionally for its march the quarter of Brno where the majority of Roma family lives. The march is also meant against the foreign workers in the Czech Republic.

Will Europe's Door Open for Tunisia: How Many Deaths will it Take? [21.02.2011]
The well-know European network UNITED for Intercultural Action (www.unitedagainstracism.org), the AIM being its active member, takes position towards the massive influx of Tunisians to Europe.
As the consequences of recent political uprising; civil unrest, instability and lack of state security continues to threaten civil life in Tunisia, Italy has called upon EU and Frontex to secure its borders from those who seek to escape from these fearful conditions. More »
Foreigners at the labour market – Hot topic of last months [20.01.2011]
In January 2011, SIMI launched a new project „Increasing the role of NGOs in social integration of labour migrants in the Czech Republic“, financed by the European Social Fund for an implementation period of 2 years. The project is implemented in cooperation with the foreign partner organisations, namely Solidariedade Imigrante from Portugal and Zentrum
für MigrantInnen Tirol from Austria.

The Consortium of Non-governmental Organisations has a new form and with new energy turns to interested parties from the ranks of civil society and appeals for them to join this association.

ENJOY DIVERSITY - European-wide Action Week Against Racism 13-21 March 2010 [19.03.2010]
- NGOs from 48 different European countries mobilise against Racism - more than 235 actions are planned in Europe's largest anti-racism campaign. - In the European-wide Action Week Against Racism, around 21st March, hundreds of grass-roots organisations from all over Europe join forces and come into action against racism, xenophobia, right-wing extremism and related discrimination.
- The activities are coordinated by the Amsterdam based secretariat of UNITED for Intercultural Action - the European Network against Nationalism, Racism, Fascism and in Support of Migrants and Refugees.
- Association for Integration and Migration commemorates the 21 March as the Day against racisme in a symbolic way and will lead in this sense the upcoming seminar in the period of 24 to 27 March 2010, organised for delegates of the Portuguese partner organisation solidariedade Imigrante in the framework of the project Regularisation as one of the tools in the fight against irregular migration.
Pilot Integration Course Held Successfully [01.11.2009]
On 2nd and 3rd October the Association for Integration and Migration held a “Pilot Integration Course,” intended for people who have received international protection in the Czech Republic (asylees and persons with supplementary protection).
The purpose of the course was to transmit important basic information, which these people need in order to successfully integrate into Czech society, as well as to serve as a personal gathering and a place for the mutual exchange of experiences and feelings about life in the Czech Republic.
